In choosing Anna Lynn Fishing you get a Captain and mate who are dedicated to putting you on the fish. The Anna Lynn and all her equipment including Rods and Reels are top of the line. The Captain spares no expense in keeping up with latest tackle and fishing methods so you can have the Best trip possible. It was recently said while discussing the Anna Lynns and Captains ability to put so many different anglers on Trophies of different species that the Captain can simply Smell a fish.
Prices include Bait, the Best Equipment and Tackle, all Licenses and ice for the days catch while on board. The Price does not include a tip for the mate ( 20% is considered average) The mates that work on the Anna Lynn are professionals and work extremely hard both before and after your trip. Fish Cleaning is not included for any trips out of Virginia Beach. A $200.00 Deposit is required and must be received with-in 2 weeks of the booking date this is done (or two months prior to trip when booking well in advance) because the best dates always book first and over the last few years some groups have canceled on prime dates and I had already sent some of my other customers with other Captains. All weather calls are the Captains and rain does not constitute unfishable conditions. Captain Lowery reserves the right to postpone a charter due to unsafe weather conditions, applying the deposit to a future mutually acceptable date.
Below are some questions I get asked often. I hope they help with answering any of your questions
Does Anna Lynn Fishing provide all the tackle ? Yes we provide all tackle and bait. If you have that special rod and reel you would like to use feel free to bring it.
How Long are we on the water? It depends on what time a year it is and what oppurtunities we have. In the fall and winter we catch our limit of Trophy Rockfish and may troll and release a few but we do NOT spend the day catching and releasing dozens of fish. Our clients leave happy as you can tell from the testimonials. Offshore trips last ALL day.
What if the weather is bad? It is the Captains Decsion everyday is not perfect. Captain Lowery reserves the right to postpone a charter due to unsafe weather conditions, applying the deposit to a future mutually acceptable date. Rain is not a reason for cancellations!
How many anglers can fish on the Anna Lynn? The Anna Lynn is licensed for 22 people in the bay and 12 on the atlantic for near shore fishing. All offshore trips are limied to 6.
How can I pay? I accept checks and have a link here on this web site for your convience for credit card payments. All charters require a $200.00 deposit due 30 days before your trip. If you cancel less than two weeks from your trip the deposit is NON refundable unless the Anna Lynn is rebooked for your date.
How about Tips? My mates work extremely hard for their tips and an average tip is 20% of the charter cost. They are usually at the boat a half hour before your arrival and spent time the night before getting things together so you have a great trip. After you are gone they spent several hours getting cleaned up.The fish cleaning is included when fishing out of Reedville but no where else. Please keep this in mind when tipping the mates on a bay trip. Fish cleaning is extra at VA Beach and sometimes the mates do it and other times the Va Beach Fishing centers crew will do it.
What to Bring? Summer always bring sun block, sunglasses,a hat, plenty of water and beverages (NO GLASS BOTTLES PLEASE) Food, ETC. Please consolidate into one or two coolers the Anna Lynn is big but there is not room for 12 coolers. All fish caught will go in the large fish box and can transferred back to your coolers at the dock. Winter Fishing- ALWAYS Dress extra warm (gloves, Hats, ETC) You can always take it off if you get to hot but you can not put it on if you don't have it.
Where to stay? Check out links or call me as I am always working on good rates for my clients. If you are fishing in Virginia Beach, the Virginia Beach Best Western offers Summer and Winter Lodging Rates for fisherman.
