The Anna Lynn is back  in Reedville hoping for a little warm up to start the Spring Painting, Inspections,ETC. It looks like we are just going to go ahead and start without the nice weather and start getting it done. We will begin Spring fishing on the 18th of April and will be in Reedville thru the Reedville Tournament June 12th. The Anna Lynn will relocate to the Beach on or about June 15th.

The Bay is loaded with Large Stripers right now and this promises to be a great Spring Trophy Season in both MD and VA this year. Call me or e-mail to book your trips today.

February

Fishing has been good for the first half of February. Several days have been tough but over all it has been good. As the days get longer and the sun shines on the water longer each day we are looking for a good run of fish coming by us charging up the bay. I feel some of the best fishing of the year is still ahead of us. Also Spring fishing starts April 18th for the MD season and if it is anything like the last few years you do not want to miss it. We will also be Spade Fishing again this year starting the 3rd week of June. I will be doing a  make up trip on Feb. 26th for Rockfish call or e-mail for more info.804 445 5155 This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Fishing has been a little slower than the typical VA Beach fishing you expect and the cold snap from two weeks ago had a delayed effect on the fishing. We were catching our fish right along some North some South getting lucky and making the right guesses each morning but last Saturday the bite shut off for us for the weekend we looked to the North and came back to Cape Henry and only caught two fish for my party of twelve. I appreciated them hanging with me as I tried to get them over some fish that would eat. On Sunday we jogged 20 miles down the beach found some bait and managed to go 5 for 7 before we lost it. This week we have been doing the same thing going South some and North  long distances each way and have been able to get them each day.

Double Nickels and a 46 Pound Kicker!!
Written by Capt. Duby Lowery

Gregg Bugg, Tom SIllett, Tom SIllett Jr and Robert Kincaid made the trip to the beach today to fish with us despite that many oftheir friends dropped out  due to various excuses that led to some unrepeatable descriptions of the "No Shows" . It was a pleasure having these four aboard today and they certainly got the last laugh in. After looking the North over we ran to the South and found some feeding fish. We got right at 20 fish in about an hour before heading back to Rudee but the real story of the day was Tom Sillett's 46 pound fish and the biggest rock bass caught on the Anna Lynn ever Robert Kinkaids 55 pounder!!

This young lady here could give lessons on how to put the fish in the boat. I have some guys on board recently who could use them. She made quick work of several fish on the rods some claimed to not work!!

This crew got on them quick at Cape Henry putting a quick limit of nice bass in the boat.

Some nice fish for these guys!
